Prentice pulls hat trick for Panthers

The Vernon Panthers brushed back the Kalamalka Lakers 3-2 in North Zone senior girls soccer play Thursday at Marshall Field.

Megan Prentice is known for draining threes for the Vernon Panthers senior girls basketball team. Now she’s doing it in soccer.

Prentice collected a hat trick as the Cats brushed back the Kalamalka Lakers 3-2 in North Zone League play Thursday at Marshall Field.

Down by a goal at the half, VSS took the lead on Prentice’s first two goals. Kal equalized, but Prentice tallied again with 10 minutes to play to seal the win.

Assists went to Natalie Johnston, Megan Johnston and Melanie Wakutz.
