Prince George team wins BC Scotties in Maple Ridge

Prince George skip Patti Knezevic won her first 2015 BC Scotties championship on Sunday at the Golden Ears Winter Club in Maple Ridge.

Prince George skip Patti Knezevic won her first BC Curling Championship on Sunday in Maple Ridge, as she beat the Sara Wark rink out of Victoria by a score 5-3 in the final. She went a perfect 5-0 through the event. Her rink includes second Jen Rusnell, third Kristen Fewster and lead Rhonda Camozzi.

Prince George skip Patti Knezevic won her first 2015 BC Scotties championship on Sunday at the Golden Ears Winter Club in Maple Ridge.

Knezevic went a perfect 5-0 through the eight-team tournament, and beat the Sarah Wark rink out of Juan de Fuca Curling Club by a score of 5-3 in the final.

Knezevic had previously made the BC Scotties final in 2005, 2007 and 2013. but had yet to win the title. Two of those defeats coming at the hands of Kelly Scott.

But Scott’s new rink, which includes Golden Ears curlers Shannon Aleksic (third) and Kristen Recksiedler (fifth), lost to Wark in the semis.
