Prince Rupert Minor Hockey Association handed out its yearly awards on Sunday, rewarding players, coaches and volunteers.
In the Minor Hockey Esso Awards, the most improved player went to Jacob Venditelli, Logan Dickens, Wyatt McDonald, Jade Dyer, Riley Sampare, Josh Joubert, Sam Irving, Sara Okrainetz, Karan Bains, Brevin Jack and Saige Acker.
The most dedicated player awards went to Mason Horne, Marco Pomponio, Brodie Graham, Bryce Dixon, Noah Kloppers, Noriko Ikari, Mitchell Mann, Joel Silva, Ashton &Ferryn Collins, Nolan Stava and Vishaldeep Sekhon.
In the most sportsmanlike category, winners included Payton Movold, Ty Minette, Ryan Tapper, McKenzie Mann, Kaylin Davidson, Justin Nanan, Samantha Wiley, Keely Kiesman, Kyle Le, Avery Lorette and Marcus Shepert.
PRMHA also handed out the Minor Hockey Memorial Awards. The most inspirational awards in each division went to Taya Shepert, Emily Gordon, Jordyn Carter, Jonathan Pirillo, Brodie Melanson, Arlen Deschamps and Liam Quane.
In the most sportsmanlike category, the winners included Joseph Helin-Alexcee, Peter Joubert, Payton Colussi, Jorian Mack, Ethan Adams, Colby Duffus and Brittany Waite.
The top scorers in each division were Jaxon Everett (novice), Callas Pierce (atoms), Spencer MacDonald (peewee), Noah Aceto (peewee rep), Dominic Strand (bantam house), Ben Northcott (bantam rep) and Teryn Archer (midget house).
The most improved defence midget rep award went to Zach Miller. The most inspirational goalie went to Gavin McNeice, with Jacob Gordon winning the most dedicated goalie award.
Kyle Lee won the most improved junior official title, while Mike Ikari and Craig Movold won honours for most inspirational coach. Volunteer of the year award went jointly to Carmen Aceto and Terena Stegavig. The honorary lifetime member award went to Kevin Movold, Gary Coons, Jerry Kurka and Ron German.
