One of Canada’s most popular country singers is donating his time to put on a concert in Mission to help raise funds for Mission Minor Hockey and KidSport.
Aaron Pritchett’s Feb. 11 acoustic performance at the Clarke Theatre starts at 7:30 p.m. and organizers are hoping to sell out the 702-seat venue.
“It should be a really fun thing,” said organizer Richard Mooney.
In addition to the concert, Pritchett has agreed to play in a charity hockey game at 1:30 p.m. at the Leisure Centre that same day. He will play with the MMH coaches against the Mission Icebreakers, the local junior B team.
MMH fundraises to keep the registration fees affordable for families as well as it pays for ice and referees. KidSport helps lower income families pay for the registration fees as they believe that no child should sit on the sidelines. This program is run through the Leisure Centre and the funds are all from grants or fundraising.
General admission tickets will be $25, and for more information call Richard at 604-751-2325 or Tina at 604-751-1643.
