Entering its ninth season, Pumpkin Cross has grown to be one of B.C.’s biggest cyclo-cross races.

Local Ride Racing’s 2015 edition of Pumpkin Cross will again include amazing cyclo-cross racing with its much loved Halloween-themed festivities on Sunday, Nov. 1 at the North Alouette River Greenway Park in Maple Ridge.

Entering its ninth season, Pumpkin Cross has grown to be one of B.C.’s biggest cyclo-cross races.

Liv Cycling Canada’s Sandra Walter will be back on board offering her women’s only clinic at the venue on Oct. 31.

The Pumpkin Cross is also part of the Cycling B.C. Premier Cyclo-cross series, a six-event series that tracks riders’ results in all categories as they compete for the honour of being crowned overall series champion

The Ridge Meadows Child Development Centre will be back with their adapted wheeled race and a  free and kid’s race.

“The costume contest has almost become a bigger component of the event than the race itself,” said  race director Barry Lyster. “With so many partners on board, I am sure we will see record numbers for the event.
