The Quesnel Bantam rep team took care of business March 5 in Prince George winning the North Central Cariboo rep tier 2 championship, defeating Prince George two games to one in the best of three game series.
Due to finishing the season with the best record, Quesnel earned a bye in the first round and had to wait and see who their opponent would be. Prince George would come out on top in their series with Williams Lake for the right to play the regular season champions in a closley contested series.
In the championship, Quesnel would lose the first game 2-1 in overtime, but it would not discourage them moving forward. Knowing they needed to win two straight, Quesnel showed their offensive prowess and took over the final two games, winning 4-2 in game two and 6-3 in game three to clinch the series and the championship. Quesnel will now head to Powell River this weekend for the Provincial Championship.
