Quesnel figure skaters shine in Kelowna

Eighteen athletes competed in the Super Series STARSkate Final 2020 event March 6-8

Eighteen athletes represented the Quesnel Figure Skating Club in the Super Series STARSkate Final March 6-8 in Kelowna.

In the STAR 1 Event, Neveah Powell, Phoenix Swaan and Grace White earned bronze assessments, while Kamryn Backer earned a merit assessment.

In the STAR 2 Solo Events, Danika Cherry, Geillan McEwan, Meera Sandhu and Abbi White earned silver assessments, while Taylor Backer and Violet Hayner earned bronze assessments.

In the STAR 3 Solo Events, Kaitlin Barry and Jayke Peterson earned silver assessments, while Brooklyn Backer and Maylie Backer each earned bronze assessments.

In the STAR 5 Solo Events, Katelynn Grant placed fourth, Sophie Hayner placed 16th as well as eighth in the Artistic Event, and Casey Fisher placed 23rd.

In the STAR 6 Solo Event, Beverly Smetaniuk placed 25th. She also finished 11th in the Gold Artistic Event.

In the STAR 7 Solo Events, Katelynn Grant finished 10th and Casey Fisher finished 11th.
