Quesnel Ladies Best ball celebrates 54th year

The Quesnel Ladies Best Ball celebrated their 54th annual Best Ball Tournament. Players competed for the Barb Smith Marj Jefferson low net, and the Nita Lane low gross.

This year’s winners are:

1st. Low Net: Leslie Johnston and Colby Biller Low Gross Mary Braithwaite and Cheryl Poulin

2nd. Low Net Tiffany and Brenda Campbell Low Gross Kit Collins and Vi Brears

3rd. Low Net Elaine Hetu and Bobbi Bell Low Gross Tammi Caferra and Gina Alexander

4th. Low Net Gina Albers and Ninette Savage Low Gross Diane Rogers and Lori Durocher

5th. Low Net Peggy Brown and Linda Avis Low Gross Kris Oimet and Rachel Brink

6th. Low Net Mary Ann Norgren and Linda Pederson Low Gross Mary Ellison and Marj Watt

7th. Low Net Jan Hanford and Gail Kandal Gaal Low Gross Vanessa Riplinger and Stephanie Ferguson

8th. Low Net Cristina Mason and Charlene Fulton, Low Gross Trina Halfnight and Karin Brink

Friday Nights Remax Wine and Cheese Chipping winners:

Gina Albers took the top spot in the Friday Nights Remax Wine and Cheese Chipping, taking home $72.50, with Wanda Grinder taking second and $43.50 and Tina Halfnights winning third and $29.

Special Olympics received $235 which was $145 for 1/2 of chipping pot plus $90 of specific donations.

Quesnel’s Jumpstart were the big winners with $970 raised from the draws, and $640 to the Quesnel Palliative Care from the 50/50’s.
