Castlegar Rebels game day: game three of the KIJHL championship series is tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Armstrong versus the North Okanagan Knights.
Rebels lead the series 2 – 0 after close games at home Tuesday, March 26 (2 – 1) and Wednesday, March 27 (3 – 2 OT).
The winner of the KIJHL championship competes with the champions of the Pacific International Junior Hockey League (Richmond Sockeyes) and the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League for the Cyclone Taylor Cup, the B.C. provincial title.
The Comox Valley Glacier Kings and Victoria Cougars are still playing for the VIJHL title. Victoria leads that series 3 – 0 and game four is set for Saturday, March 30 at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.
The winner of the Cyclone Taylor Cup then moves on to compete for the Western Canada “B” Crown, the Keystone Cup, against teams from Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan. The Keystone Cup games are April 18 – 21 in St. Malo, Manitoba.
Game four of the Rebels/Knights series is also in Armstrong — Saturday, March 30 at 7 p.m.
