Barriere Youth Soccer is getting pumped up for the upcoming season.

Players are registered according to the age players are/will be in 2018. For example, a player born July 13, 2008 will be known as a “U10 player” as they will be 10 this year.

Youth ages 4-6 play soccer activities to develop skills, positive team relationships, and all that comes with playing organized sports… including fun games and snack time!

Youth ages 4-6 meet on Saturdays 10-11 a.m. starting April 21 at the Barriere Ridge fields (District of Barriere) until June 16 (excluding the May long weekend).

Youth ages 7-13 practice and play soccer games on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7p.m. starting April 23 until June 13; they also play in a Clearwater Tournament scheduled for May 5/6.

In addition to the Clearwater tournament, there will be two regular season games played in Clearwater.

All players need shin guards, soccer socks and soccer cleats. Soccer jerseys will be given out during the first week and collected back during the final week of the season.

Registration fees also include individual and team photos. U4-U6 costs $35. U7-U13 costs $50 (which also includes the fee for the Clearwater Tournament).

Registration sessions will be held at Barriere AG Foods on Monday, March 5, 3-5 p.m. and Sunday, March 11, 11a.m. -1p.m. in the lobby. Registration forms are also available at Barriere Elementary School and the North Thompson Volunteer and Information Centre (NTVIC).
