Ten members of the Revelstoke Acrobats competitive trampoline gymnastics team attended their second competition of the year in Burnaby on February 4–5. The two-day meet saw new competitor Hannah Winger jump in her first competition. Many ribbons and medals were brought home for hard-earned top ten finishes.
The results: Hannah Winger (10 & under) 14th trampoline, 18th double-mini; Isabella Mendonca (10 & under) 4th trampoline, 14th double-mini; Chloe Suchovs (B) 13th trampoline, 9th double-mini; Frankie Howe (B, C, D) 4th trampoline, 23rd double-mini, 2nd tumbling; Joshua Winger (B, C) 8th trampoline, 2nd double-mini; Kayla Fenwick, ‘B’ 3rd trampoline, 6th double-mini; Jordan Vandenberg-Clark, (A, B) 7th trampoline, 15th double-mini; Stephanie Batke (A)8th trampoline, 6th double-mini; Cheyenne Brule, (A) 10th trampoline, 12th double-mini; Richard Eden (National Novice) 8th trampoline, 6th double-mini.
The competitive team is gearing up and training hard for their next meet at the end of February. After the team travels back to the coast again, it will be only two short weeks until the B.C. Provincial Championships, their biggest meet of the year. The recreational program is currently halfway through the winter session and will start up new classes one more time in this season, after spring break.
