The red hot Terrace River Kings are back on home ice this weekend, facing off against the Kitimat Ice Demons here Friday and the Lac La Hache Tomahawks on Saturday.
The Kings are having a banner year, sitting at the top of the western division of the Central Interior Hockey League with 16 points and a 8-1 record.
They recently returned from a decisive road trip that saw them extend their win streak and hand Williams Lake Stampeders their first loss of the season. The Stamps lead the league with 22 points.
Terrace travelled east to Williams Lake and Lac La Hache at the end of November to go up against the Stampeders, first in the eastern division, and the struggling Tomahawks.
Both games were highscoring affairs, with the Kings taking the Stamps 9-6 on Saturday and the Tomahawks 11-6 on Sunday.
Terrace goalie Devon Ames suited up for the weekend, his first two games of the season.
And Terrace’s last game was in Kitimat Friday, Nov. 28 where they extended their win streak to five, beating the Ice Demons 6-4 in a penalty-filled game.
Both games begin at 8 p.m. at the Terrace Sportsplex.
