Rockets’ Three Stars: Fuoco takes top honours

The Rockets earned mixed results last weekend but received a trio of solid offensive performances from the blueline.

The Rockets earned mixed results last weekend with a win over Princeton and a blowout loss to Kimberley, but did receive some standout performances from a few individuals on the blue line.

1. Brennan Fuoco

Was not shy to engage offensively from his post on the blue line and it paid off with a goal and a pair of assists. Has sort of flown under the radar this season but has shown flashes of brilliance on the Rockets’ second pairing.

2. Alex Astasiewicz

Walked the line and pumped home a slapshot for the game winner against Princeton. Always active offensively, his smooth skating and offensive instincts are really starting to show as the adjustment faze to junior hockey is now far in his rearview mirror.

3. Nic Noseworthy

Scored the Rockets’ lone goal in the blowout against Kimberley, a rifle from the point on the power play. Had a goal and an assist the previous night and was all over the ice at both ends of the rink.
