The Rockstars brushed back Sir Winston’s Attack 5-3 in women’s Division 2 soccer play Thursday night at Marshall Field.
Rockstar goals came from Leah Willinger, Brooke Hackle, Natalie Lussin, Ashley Smith and Sherah Grant.
Keeper Sylvie Richard registered some great saves for the Rockstars, while forward Jenna Bath did an awesome job with passing and hustling. The ever-improving Ruth Delisle sparkled on defence and Michelle Findlay was bold being thrown into multiple positions.
OTC (Okanagan T-Shirt Company) Sistas outlasted Collaborate Wellness 8-5.
Diane Neudorf cashed in four goals for the Sistas, while Tania Wirachowsky, Carmen Kinniburgh, Becky Birbilis and Andy Zubot supplied singles in front of a solid Wendy Nadeau.
Defender Hollie Olanski shifted to centre midfield and delivered her first career goal on a hard shot from the 18 for the Wellness gals.
Fullback Ariel Nicolaide buried a rocket from well outside the 18 for her first career snip, earning Lady of the Match for sportsmanship for Collaborate.
Tierney Barker (2) and Melanie Pierosky rounded out the Collarborate attack in front of Kris Fuller and Alana McColm.
The Wellness crew got great positive vibes and coaching from Brent Barker.
