The Terrace Rod and Gun Club hosted its open house out in Thornhill August 6.

The Terrace Rod and Gun Club hosted its open house in Thornhill August 6.

President of the Terrace Rod and Gun Club, Art Moi, said there was a good number of people who came to take part in the day.

It was pretty good, there were a lot of families and lots of support from the community,” Moi said.

Events charged $5 to cover the cost of ammunition, and people got a chance to try their hands at a number of events such as trap shooting, and shooting at Olympic-style targets with biathlon rifles.

There was also a black powder cannon on site that participants were able to set off.
