The Terrace Rod and Gun Club hosted its open house in Thornhill August 6.
President of the Terrace Rod and Gun Club, Art Moi, said there was a good number of people who came to take part in the day.
“It was pretty good, there were a lot of families and lots of support from the community,” Moi said.
Events charged $5 to cover the cost of ammunition, and people got a chance to try their hands at a number of events such as trap shooting, and shooting at Olympic-style targets with biathlon rifles.
There was also a black powder cannon on site that participants were able to set off.
