Jack Walker scored a pair of power play goals and Coleman Vollrath made 26 saves to lead the Victoria Royals to a 3-2 victory over the Kelowna Rockets Saturday in WHL playoff action at Save On Foods Memorial Arena.
The Royals now lead the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal two games to none.
Regan Nagy scored the game winner for Victoria at 16:56 of the second period, while Tyson Baillie and Justin Kirkland scored for Kelowna.
Baillie appeared to have tied the game late in the third period but, after video review, the goal was disallowed due to a kicking motion.
Games 3 and 4 will be played Tuesday and Thursday at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
