Run the Rock attracts an international field of competitors.

What do runners from Ireland, Bermuda, New Zealand, Brazil, Germany and the USA all have in common? They participated in the 2015 Run The Rock marathon, half marathon and 8km races on Texada Island, and loved the experience.

As Rich Clare from New Zealand said, “It was a beautiful course and a well organized event. Great to finish by the sea.”

That sentiment was echoed by all of the participants, not just those that had come from far away. Race director Rob McWilliam noted, “It makes us feel really proud of our community when we get so many compliments from people who have traveled great distances to run.”

Runners and walkers will have another opportunity to see what is so special about Run The Rock on Sunday, Aug. 28 when the sixth annual race occurs. Details and registration is available through www.runtexada.ca.

Join us and discover why Victoria Fiddick of Bermuda wrote, “Wonderful race! Had fantastic time, the running scenery was just beautiful.”

Marathon and half marathon registration is $60, and the 8km is only $15 until Aug. 7. After Aug. 7 prices go up, so be sure to register soon.

More information and registration available through www.runtexada.ca. Or contact McWilliam at 604-486-0377.
