Drought? What drought?
While Vancouver Island remains under a campfire ban and many municipalities have enacted water-use restrictions, Saratoga Speedway seems to be getting plenty of rain.
For the second time in the past three weeks, racing racing at Saratoga Speedway was washed away Saturday after Mother Nature picked another weekend to open up the skies.
The July 25 event was to have featured the I.M.C.A Modifieds, Dwarf cars, Old Time Modified Stock cars, and the Bomber cars.
Extra laps…After a much anticipated wait, the biggest Monster Truck show of the year is finally upon us this coming weekend. Wild Flower, Time Flys, Blown Income and Tow Monster are set to make their débuts at Saratoga over the Long weekend. The team of Rosalee and Kelvin Ramer is the first to ever attend Saratoga as a father/daughter duo. Rosalee is also the youngest female Monster Truck driver in the world, having started her career at the age of 16 and just turned 17 last month. Blown Income is a brand-new truck out of Vancouver Island, the first local truck to come to the Speedway. Finally, Tow Monster comes from to us from Washington D.C, with Seth Fisher behind the wheel of the over 1,600 horsepower machine. The Hornet cars, Crash to Pass cars and the Roadrunners will accompany the Monster Trucks over the two-day show, with Columbia Fuels and Thrifty Foods sponsoring the weekend.
