SAS dominates in season opener

The Salmon Arm Secondary School tennis team swept the board against Pleasant Valley Secondary School

The Salmon Arm Secondary School tennis team swept the board against Pleasant Valley Secondary School from Armstrong in match play on April 14 at the Salmon Arm Tennis Club.

In their first match of the year, SAS dominated from beginning to end, winning 10-0 in an impressive team performance. In the A girls doubles match, Wallis Thompson and Lucy Elliot defeated their opponents  6-2, and the duo of Susannah Wark and Brenna Isaac achieved the same scoreline.

Colin Van Buskirk and Trajan Boyd breezed through their match 6-0 and Jackson Wark and Dan Declan won 6-1. In the girls singles match, Thompson won 6-0, while both Jackson and Boyd defeated  their singles opponents 6-1.

Looking to keep the momentum rolling, SAS faced off against  Okanagan Mission School on Tuesday at the Salmon Arm Tennis Club, after the Observer’s deadline.
