Seahawks celebrated a convincing victory over Westshore Warriors, 22 – 0. Defence was stingy again, allowing only three first downs and no completed passes. Tank Logan rolled over the offense with a forced fumble and he recovered the ball. Strong game plays were executed by Lazer Gagnon, Davis Heslop, Jared Steele, Nick Heslop and Caleb “Creeper” Carrier. Rookie sensation Nathan “Knock em down” Davis took defensive player of the game, with five tackles and three quarterback sacks.
Offence was generous with two touchdowns and two converts by Jared “Man of” Steele, both with dynamic runs. Spencer Logan punched in a three-yard touchdown after a 45 yard run on a reverse play by Owen “Roadrunner” Cheng. Offense was anchored by Creeper Carrier, the Heslop twins saw plenty of good blocks and runs, Logan delivered a 17-yard possession, and Sam Lowden completed a nice curl pass to Logan. Special teams lead by Jared “leg of” Steele offence player of the game, didn’t allow any positive yards on all our kicks.
Next game Sooke will confront Saanich Wolverines next Sunday.
