The Salmon Arm SilverBacks will be selling tickets to Sunday’s game against the Powell River Kings for just $5, with hopes of packing the Shaw Centre for the final game of the calendar year.
Tickets for children under five remain free. The SilverBacks and Kings will face off at 3 p.m. on Sunday. General manager and head coach Troy Mick says, with a game just three days before Christmas, the organization has been given a chance to give a gift to its faithful.
“We hope this one-time ticket deal will come as welcome news for so many fans who are feeling the pinch during the holiday season.”
During December, SilverBack fans have gone beyond expectations by providing more than 600 pounds of food and two trucks worth of teddy bears for the Salvation Army.
