Seeco Slammers edge Madman McKay’s Jays for men’s slopitch title

In probably the closest race in Men’s Slopitch League history, Seeco Slammers dumped Madman McKay’s Jays 14-4 to capture first place.

The Jays were also doubled 16-8 by S&M Swingers.  The Slammers edged the Jays by seven runs in head-to-head games. West Coast Grinders,  S&M Swingers and Solo La Puntita all finished two points behind first place.

The Grinders were beaten 19-7 by the Slammers but still finished second with a 3-1 record against the other two teams. La Puntita hammered the winless Coco Loco’s 25-1 and knocked off the Avengers 14-5 but still dropped to fifth as the Swingers edged them by four runs in head-to-head. In a high scoring affair KNB Steamers held of the CV Marine Misfits 24-23. The Steamers also knocked off Smokin’ Woody’s 17-12. The Jays did win one of their games, 13-3 against the Avengers.
