A pair of South Surrey lacrosse talents were part of the Burnaby Mountain Selects’ sophomore elite team that posted a near-perfect record at the recent 2011 Adrenaline Challenge, which was held earlier this month in San Diego.
Earl Marriott Secondary’s Spencer Bromley and Semiahmoo Secondary student Jalen Sekhon were both on the Burnaby squad that went 4-1 in San Diego; the team’s only loss came at the hands of FCA SoCal Blue, who were the eventual tournament champions.
The Selects’ sophomore squad’s wins came against Washington’s South Sound Starz, as well as a team from Idaho, and two California club’s – the Fog City Jays and Golden Gate U16 Gold. Despite losing just once, the team was eliminated from the top-eight playoff bracket on a tiebreaker.
