Is B.C. Seniors Games for You?
Langley is the host of the B.C. Seniors Games this year. Any residents 55 years of age and older can participate in the B.C. Seniors Games in active or passive events, such as golf, tennis, bridge, cycling, swimming, bowling, floor curling, track, and pickleball. There are 25 sporting events in all.
The B.C. Seniors Games were started in Vernon in 1988 and are held in late summer each year to promote sport, recreation, and culture. More than 3,500 seniors participate yearly. This year’s Games will be in Langley. Sept. 9-13. There are zone playoffs in some of the events in June, depending on the sport.
