The Langley Thunder took a 4-1 lead in Game 2 but the Victoria Shamrocks stormed back with an 9-2 goal-scoring run to win 10-6 at Bear Mountain Arena on Friday night.
With the win the Shamrocks even the Western Lacrosse Association best-of-seven final at 1-1.
The Thunder’s Brodie McDonald looked strong to start but was eventually pulled as the Rocks’ Matt Vinc allowed a stingy four six goals.
Scoring was no easy feat. Unheralded Shamrocks defender Scott Carnegie was the only player to score multiple goals with two, one of them shorthanded in the second period.
Jeff Shattler scored a goal and added three assists.
Game 3 is Wednesday, Aug. 21 in Langley.
