The 2014 season will once again feature a three- team league with defending Shaw Cup champion Kelowna Raiders, and last season’s regular-season winning Kamloops Rattlers.

The Vernon Tigers who were unable to field a team last year, will not be back again this year.”

“It’s disappointing that Vernon will not be in the league,” said Chad Pieper of the Rocks. “it really comes down to the lack of players. With all of the high-paying jobs up north, it’s tough to keep our young players at home. All of our teams in the league have struggled with it the past few years.”

The Shamrocks have added former Vernon Junior Tigers Rob Rintoul and Tyler Plante, who are both back working in the area.

“We will also have former Tiger and Vernon Viper standout Rob Short helping with the organization while he continues to rehab from the hockey injury he suffered last October.”

The season starts in April.
