The Lone Butte Fish and Wildlife Association hosted a trap shoot on Dec. 4 at its club on Highway 24.

It was good turnout, with 25 local club members and another 25 guests from other clubs spanning from Kamloops to Quesnel.

Local winners were Ted Swift, George Ostoforoff and Malcolm Cattanach.

The pool of visiting shooters who took home prizes included Adam Veley from Quesnel, Barry and Judy Jenkins from Williams Lake, Doug and Mike Johnston from Kamloops and Dave Carr from Kamloops.

As their reward, winners were presented with cash, meat packs, hams and bacon.

On Nov. 27, five shooters from 100 Mile House competed at a clay target shoot at the Williams Lake Sportsmen’s Association trap range. Ostoforoff was the top shooter from the South Cariboo with four wins. Cattanach had two wins and Gary Martin and Rob Altmannshofer had one win apiece.
