The Sicamous Eagles’s winning streak continues.
Last weekend the team chalked up two more wins, making it five in total, preceded by two overtime losses.
Eagle Brendan Devries was named first star in Sicamous’ Friday, Oct. 5 home game, contributing three goals to the team’s 8-4 tally vs the Kamloops Storm. Teammate Corbin Marcotte was first on the board, however, with a power play goal at 13:23 in the first frame, assisted by Jameson Stoski and Cam Olson. In the final third of the period, Sicamous kept the Storm on the defensive while potting four back-to back goals. The first came from Matt Reed, aided by Cameron Berry and Jamie Gallo. Devries put in goal number three, assisted by Kelyn Opel. Aiden Nisse put in goal number four (Brett Trofanenko, Marcotte), while Jordan Harder potted the fifth at the :31 mark (Marcotte, Trofanenko).
In the second frame the Storm was able to put in an early marker, but Connor Buick (Reed) was able to bring Sicamous’ lead up to 6-1 before the period’s end.
Devries scored his second and third goals early in the final frame. The Storm was then able to bring the action back to Sicamous’ end, but was only able to secure two more goals before the clock ran out.
Marcotte and Reed were named the game’s second and third star.
Sicamous had to work harder to earn their 2-1 win Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Revelstoke Forum vs rivals the Grizzlies.

The score remained 1-1 throughout the second frame, finally broken by Devries halfway through the third period, with assists going to Devon Quartly and Stoski.
