Adam Clark recorded 37 saves for first star as the Salmon Arm SilverBacks bounced the host West Kelowna Warriors 4-1 in B.C. Hockey League action Friday night at Royal LePage Place.

Outshot 38-19, the SilverBacks got two points from Vernon product Alex Gillies, who assisted on the opening goal by Brandon Mistal and provided an insurance goal in the second period.

Bryden Marsh, from Ryan Schwalbe, and Schwalbe, unassisted, completed the offence for Salmon Arm, fifth in the Interior, and three points ahead of the Vernon Vipers, at 14-15-1-3.

Marcus Basara, a former Viper, handled the 12-9-2-7 Warriors’ attack in front of 1,352 fans, assists to captain Max French and Seb Lloyd.

Basara, a Port Moody native, is committed to the NCAA Alaska-Fairbanks Seawolves. He is ninth in league scoring with 17-19-36 in 30 games.

Warriors’ backup Steven Myland have 15 saves in the loss.
