Similkameen Senior girls team will host the Okanagan Valley Single “A” Girls Basketball Championship Feb. 20-22.
The Okanagan Valley is the strongest zone in the province. Coming to the tournament will be Provincial number one Immaculata. They recently won the “Best of the West” tournament in Kelowna.
Winning the tournament meant beating Riverside, the number three ranked team in triple A, and Duchess Park, the number two team in the double A category.
Also coming to the tournament are Provincial number two Kelowna Christian, and number eight Heritage Christian. The Similkameen girls are currently ranked number five provincially.
The tournament will be as good basketball as you can see anywhere in the province.
The senior girls are currently 16-5 and looking forward to qualifying for provincials.
