Mission youngster Alex Green was in the winner’s circle once again.
The six-year-old drag racer participated in the final race of the season on the weekend and once the dust settled, Green took home the Junior Drag Racing League (JDRL) championship, winning a Wally Trophy (a prestigious award in the drag race community).

Along with the Wally, Alex also won first place in points. Throughout the year, racers win points depending how well they do. Alex was able to sneak into first place on Saturday, winning the championship.
He also won Best Reaction Time of the year with a mark of .001 seconds. Finally, he won Rookie of the Year.
The youngster’s success has allowed him to gain sponsorship through Ironhorse Truck Transfer, RPK Ceramic TIle, Miracle Valley Lavender Farm, and he was even sent a congratulations package from Lucas Oil.
At only six-years-old, Alex is one of the youngest racers to have his NHRA license and in three months of driving he has earned a Wally, nine trophies, sponsors, and a giant cheque bigger than him.
His dad, Brook, has been racing for 22 years, and has yet to achieve that level of racing.
