Williams Lake Skating Club coach Joanne Macnair said she was proud of all the club’s 13 skaters who competed during the weekend in the lakecity for the CNC Regionals.
“The girls all skated really well,” Macnair said. “I was really happy with all their performances.”
The WLSC played host to 16 other clubs, mostly from Northern B.C., where more than 200 skaters competed in free skate, interpretive and elements routines at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.
Macnair said she’d like to thank all of the volunteers who worked throughout the weekend.
“Thank you to all the former skaters and parents who came and helped out, and even friends of friends, because we couldn’t have run it without all the help from outside our club,” she said.
The WLSC is now gearing up for its year-end competition, the Super Series, held in Kelowna from March 3-5.
