Mitchell Smith hit the podium on four separate occasions in the United States Ski Association Midwest Championships in Lutsen, Minnesota. Smith won a gold and silver medal in U18 slalom on March 26 and 27 and then went on to win a gold and silver medal in U18 giant slalom March 29 and 30. His results earned him the overall title for the series.
