The SOMBA bantam AA Tigers earned a split, while the Thunder won once in Kamloops

The Penticton Thunder peewee 13 and under team finished 1-1-1 in Kamloops during a Kamloops Minor Baseball Association’s River City Classic Tournament on Victoria Day weekend.

Jack MacIntosh earned most valuable player honours after striking out eight batters over three and 1/3 innings in a 5-1 Thunder win over the Prince George Knights. In their next game, the Thunder lost 10-7 to the Burnaby Braves. Cody Thompson earned MVP honours for his performance in the loss. Their final game against the host RiverDogs #1, ended 8-8. Diogo Montiero was MVP as he crushed his second home run of the season to help push his team’s comeback from a seven-run deficit.
