Sockeyes continue to cruise in Kelowna

The Sockeys kept their string of impressive results going as they competed in their third event of the summer season in Kelowna

The Sockeys kept their string of impressive results going as they competed in their third event of the summer season in Kelowna.

All of the Sockeyes rose to new levels of individual accomplishment in each race improving in all aspects of their swimming at the annual Ogopogo event. Aggregate awards were given to the top three swimmers in each division. In division four boys, Matthew Bushell placed first while teammate Bradley Zurowski placed third. On the girls side, Julianne Moore won gold.

Tyler Bushell came first in division-five boys and Keeya Corbett swam her way to silver for the girls.

Benjamin Novakowski raced his way to first place in division-six boys.

Following Novakowski’s lead in division six, Brayden Gilliam earned gold in division-seven boys.

In open category two, both Matthew Nesdoly and Chantel Jeffries placed first.

The Sockeyes are back in town, training hard for next weekend’s competition in Merritt.
