Two South Okanagan PeeWee Rep Coyotes players are the latest on the team to shave their heads to help a teammate with cancer.
Michael White and Corey Thompson took on the razor to help 12-year-old Hunter Miller’s family with the cost of travel and treatment.
The money will help the family, who live in Oliver, afford the rising costs associated with treating Hunter, said Corey’s father, Richard White.
Sixteen team members have shaved their heads, raising over $3,500 for the young boy.
Michael and Corey were “balded” between periods at the 2012 Home Opener of the Princeton Posse.
Posse captain Spencer Christiansen and Osoyoos Coyotes captain Steve Sansynuk skillfully shaved the boys’ heads.
The two managed to raise $1,000 on their own.
