Banff Film Fest returns

The much-anticipated Banff Mountain Film Festival supported by Shuswap Search and Rescue is making a return to the Shuswap. The festival runs for two nights at the Salmar Classic from Nov. 19 to 20. Tickets are at Wearabouts.

Cheer on the Ice Breakers

The Salmon Arm Ice Breakers Speed Skating Club is hosting the fourth Annual Ice Jam, an inter-club, short-track speed skating event on Saturday, Nov. 19 starting at 10 a.m. at the Shaw Centre. Everyone is welcome to come and watch the fastest sport on ice as the Ice Breakers draft their way through the pack to the finish line.

Chargers come up short

Despite another strong regular season in the Southern Interior Football Conference, the Junior Bantam Chargers were unable to translate that into a division title. The Chargers faced off against the Kelowna Lions in the SIFC championship game last Sunday. The Chargers finished with a 7-3 record.

Grey Cup party

The Salmon Arm Curling Club will be hosting a Grey Cup party at the curling rink on Sunday, Nov. 27. Watch the big game on the largest 4K TV screen in Salmon Arm, and enjoy a Grey Cup pool, 50/50 and a burger and beer.
