PUD GRIFFIN MEMORIAL

The 108 Golf Resort will be hosting the Pud Griffin Memorial Golf Tournament on July 8-10.

Practice rounds will run on July 8, with the two-person, best-ball tournament beginning on July 9 at 9 a.m.

Low gross and net prizes will be available. Players must register as a two-person team.

FUN HORSE ACTION

The Watch Lake-Green Lake Gymkhana goes July 9 at the gymkhana grounds west of Little Horse Lodge on North Green Lake Road.

Events begin at noon and will include pole bending, stake, barrel and keyhole racing. Admission for general public will be $2, while children six and under get in free.

WRANGLERS GOLF SCRAMBLE

The 2016 Western Canada, British Columbia and Kootenay International Junior Hockey League Champions will be hosting a golf scramble fundraiser on July 16 at 108 Golf Resort.

The entry fee is $85 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, power cart rental and dinner auction.

Dinner will be held at the 100 Mile Community Hall with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30. Dinner only tickets are $55 each.

There will be a ring ceremony celebrating the Wranglers as Western Canada Champions.

Tickets are available at Central GM and Sears.

CARRIAGE DRIVING RACES

The 10th Annual Combing Driving Event will be held at Huber Farm in 70 Mile on July 16-17.

The cones and dressage competition goes on July 16, while always-popular marathon is on July 17.

Events on both days start at 9 a.m.

Each race is a timed contest and riders are judged on accuracy and driving techniques.
