LAP THE LAKE RUN

Action Fitness of 100 Mile House is hosting the 2016 Lap the Lake Run around the 108 Lakes Trail at the 108 Heritage Site on April 30. The event, which is a fundraiser for the 100 Mile District Hospice Palliative Care Society, starts at 9 a.m. Registration fee is $20, includes water, snacks and door prizes.For more information and registration forms, call 250-395-1012.

MEMORIAL TRAP SHOOT

The Forest Grove & District Rod & Gun Club is having its annual Hans Saenger Memorial Trap Shoot at the ranges just off Canim-Hendrix Lake Road (follow the signs) on May 1, starting at 1 p.m. Saenger was a longtime member and kept the club active for many years. The shoot is open to members and non-members.

GOLFERS TAKE NOTE

Both the 108 Golf Resort (250-791-5212) and the Marmot Ridge (250-395-4169) golf courses are open. Players will want to take advantage of the great weather.

TRAP SHOOTING

Starting May 15, the Forest Grove Rod & Gun Club is hosting trap shoots on the second and fourth Sundays of the month – weather permitting. New members always welcome. Information: e-mail fgrrodandgun@gmail.com.

 

CARRIAGE DRIVING

The annual BS & Drive Weekend, featuring field driving trials and heritage pleasure driving classes is slated for May 19-23 at Ken Huber’s ranch – follow the signs at the junction of 70 Mile House and Highway 97.
