Penticton Slo Pitch
Jack’s Java Stop remains atop the A division in Penticton Slo Pitch with a 14-2 record. They recently drubbed I’d Hit It 30-7. Behind them are the Dirt Bags at 13-3 and Bayley’s Brew Ha Ha Gurus at 6-8-1. In the B division, Konanz Chiropractic defeated the Mad Hatters 28-21. The win improved Konanz to 4-10-1. The leaders of that division are the Musty Mitts at 11-2-0, followed by the Brat Pack at 11-3-0 and the Crackers at 10-4. In the C division, Good Time Buddies are in first at 14-1-0. In second are the Brew Jays at 12-2-1 followed by Penticton Lakeside Sun FM Rockers at 9-5-1. The Keystone Crushers are occupying first place in the D division with an 11-3-2 record. Next are the Smoking Aces at 11-3-0 followed by the Lobsters at 10-4-1.
Top Gear Karting
Top Gear Karting is making its debut at the Penticton Speedway on Saturday. Craig Finer, the director of Top Gear Karting and business partner with Speedway owner JohnnyAantjes, said if, “people like burning fossil fuels, then they will like coming up.” Finer said the trick with the carts is handling as it can throw drivers around. “If you like driving, riding or going on a Sea-Doo, you will like this.

Summerland Golf
Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club competed using the “Stableford” method of scoring. Margo Humphreys won the first flight, while Lil Smith was second. Pat Stohl was the second flight winner with Pat Gartrell placing second and in the third flight it was Julie Macaulay winning.
Bantam Heat lacrosse
The Penticton Heat bantam lacrosse team finished at 2-2 in the Hyack Lacrosse Tournament
in New Westminster. The Heat finished with a .500 record after losing its quarter-final game to the Surrey Rebels 6-4. The Heat opened the tournament with a 9-0 win against Port Coquitlam 9-0 then defeated New Westminster 7-6 before suffering their first loss to a very strong Westshore team from Vancouver Island 11-1. Team members include: Karsten Burton, Jace Canada, Alyck Coombes, Allan Eggert, Gradeon Freeman, Tavis Hamilton, Owen Haggery, Michael McLean, Tiko Markovic, Jayce Pidskalney, Jordan Schulting, Louis Shortreed, Pete Simmerling, Brendan Steed, Max Trainor and Brett Van Os. Coaches were Goran Markovic, Dave Coombes and Dan Van Os.
The team is currently 4-4 in Thompson Okanagan League play and will be hosting an eight-team tournament in Penticton from June 1 to 3.
