The King of the Mountain trail run is set for Sunday, Sept. 24. Runners start at the Terrace sportsplex at 9:30 a.m. and run a loop on Terrace Mountain. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and pre-registration is available online. Hockey

The Terrace River Kings play their first home game Oct. 7 at the Terrace Sportsplex. They play Quesnel and the game starts at 7 p.m.
Badminton
Drop in badminton starts Oct. 3 at the the old Thornhill Junior Secondary building (now Northwest Trades and Employment Training Centre). The drop in will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 10 p.m. and will continue through to mid-April.
Skating
Terrace Skating Club opened registration for CAN SKATE learn to skate lessons for ages 3 to 12 years olds. Lessons start Ocotber 10 and registration is online at www.terraceskatingclub.com.
