Spots are available in the 36th Penticton Basketball Camp this summer.
The camp is open to players entering grades 7 to 12 in September.
“Over the years it has become one of the most successful camps in the province focusing on basketball skills, while incorporating some fun into the sport,” said Penticton Basketball Camp organizer Fred Fedorak. “Good fundamentals are so important for players to improve their skill level and confidence.”
UBC-O assistant coaches Yassine Ghomari and Landry Ndayitwayeko will head up the boys camp Aug. 8 to 11. The girls camp will be Aug. 14 to 17 and coached by Bruce Langford of the Simon Fraser University Clan women’s basketball team and a few of his players.
Fedorak said the coaches in both camps will help the players improve their skills, which to be a good player is important.
“The kids are able to hear and understand how important some aspects of the game are,” he said. “They really focus in on things that will help the kids.”
Information on the camp can be found at Penticton Basketball Camp or calling Fred Fedorak at 250-493-6387.
