The Comox Valley Athletic Association is holding its Spring 2015 Girls Vikes Camp this weekend at Mark R. Isfeld Secondary School.
UVic women’s basketball head coach Dani Sinclair and assistant coach Leanne Evans will be conducting the clinics, which are open to girls in Grades 8 to 12. The sessions go Friday, May 1 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A contribution from Canadian Tire has reduced the cost of the camp to $50, and there are still a few spots available. Pre-registration is required by contacting John Lewis 250-337-0029, 250-218-2537, johnnymlewis@hotmail.com or Kerry Barth 250-218-2600, kerry.barth74@gmail.com
Organizers note this is an excellent opportunity for players to learn news skills and prepare for the upcoming club and regional basketball season.
