The Squam Bay Fish Derby on Adams Lake is in its 62nd year and still going strong.
This much anticipated event will be taking place on Sunday, July 9 and anglers are advised to purchase their $15 tickets early if possible.
The derby is single barbless hooks only, with no fish under two pounds accepted, and only game fish will be weighed.
There is $600 up for the first prize, and $200 for second. there are many other prizes as well including a $50 door prize and a hidden weight prize.
Tickets can be purchased at the Adams Lake Store, Barriere Auto Parts, Barriere Timber Mart, Christy Allen in Brennan Creek, or call Sue at 250-672-9615, or Jacki at 250-672-5750.
You can also purchase your ticket at the boat launch at Squam Bay the day of the event between 6 a.m. – 9 a.m.
