Squires shut down Impact

Dr. Lee/Squires Four Pub blanked the Longhorn/Grey Monk Impact 2-0 Tuesday night at MacDonald Park.

Jill Rintoul made it 1-0 after receiving a beautiful through pass from Melissa Tkachuk.

Dr. Lee capitalized on a free kick when Irene Arrotta lobbed to Leah Frye for the tap in.

Lisa Arrotta stopped a penalty kick to earn her fifth shutout. The Impact, who got awesome goalkeeping from Derri Cooper, fell to 3-1-1.

Bergman blanks Sista’s

Vernon Chick Kickers froze the Okanagan Season Sista’s 7-0 at Marshall #3

Crystal Bergman was rock solid as she recorded her second straight shutout.

Bergman’s best save came on a corner, as she dove and deflected the ball over the net.

Centre midfielder Jen Kemper pulled the hat trick and Jenny Garnett had two goals.

Garnett had the highlight of the night when she scored an over the shoulder goal from 25 yards.

The Chick Kickers (4-1-0) got singles from Michelle Johnson and Robyn Sherwood.

VQA brushes back Setters Pub

The Vernon Liquor Store Winos clipped the Salmon Setters Pub 2-1 at Marshall #1.

Cheryl Roddis sent a bullet to Harmony Crockett, who upped it to Sue Barss for VQA’s first goal.

Ute Kintsel scored for her new team on a cross from Barss. Karen Benn did a great job in net for VQA (2-3-0).

Controllers cruise through Kaos

The Controllers stopped the Shuswap Kaos 5-0 at Marshall #4.

Michele Wernicke powered the Controllers (2-1-1) with two goals and an assist.

Leah Mulvhill took a pass from Wernicke and raced in alone, drilling it past the Kaos keeper.

Newcomer Lena Dean was named player of the match with a goal and an assist. She banged home a loose ball after several chances in front of the net.

Jacquie Nuyens took a pass from Dean to set up Wernicke from 18 yards, as the Controllers led 3-0 at the half.

Felicia O’Gorman scored on a breakaway and Wernicke added another late.

Mickey Templeton recorded the shutout. The Kaos dipped to 0-4-0.

Drillers derail Rosters

The Goplen Drillers knocked off Rosters Sports Pub 2-1 at Marshall #5.

Rosters led early after Becky McLennan scored from a great cross from Renee Cooke.

Amanda Boden played fantastic in net in her first game for the Rosters.

No results were reported from the two Division 1 games played Tuesday night.
