On the weekend before Halloween, the Williams Lake Stampeders filled their candy bags with goals in a one-sided 10-0 victory over the visiting Kitimat Ice Demons.
Taylor Stuart scored just 20 seconds into the contest on the first play of the game, and the goals just kept on pouring in.Kitimat, for its part, played with just 14 skaters and were outshot 50-16.
It was also a night where the Stampeders welcomed back longtime goaltender Willie Sellars, who earned himself a shutout in his return.
After Tyrel Lucas made it 2-0 near the midway point of the first period, Stuart added his second of what would eventually become a hat trick late in the third to put Williams Lake up 3-0 after one period.
Andrew Fisher, David Gore, Zach Sternberg, Tye Moses and Kyler Wilkinson exploed for five more goals in the second period, before Evan Fuller and Stuart closed out the scoring in the 10-0 win.
