They’re on a roll.

With a seven-game winning streak on the line, the Cloverdale Colts Midget A2 hockey team are facing Burnaby tonight.

After getting off to a slow start this season with a number of consecutive losses, the team appears to have turned the corner.

A 3-1 victory against Langley Eagles Dec. 13 in Cloverdale put the Colts at the top of their flight, coach Kyle Spencer said. “As of this morning we are first in our flight so the guys are on a seven-game winning streak,” he said. “They’re playing well.”

The Colts will be hosting Burnaby Thursday, Dec. 20, and will then concentrate on an upcoming midget tournament Dec. 27 to 31 in Richmond.

“Hopefully, we’re going for number nine in a row,” Spencer said.

The puck drops for game two against Burnaby at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at the Cloverdale Arena.
