The Lumby Tier 4 Pee Wee Stars iced the North Shore Winterhawks 7-4 in consolation play Sunday in the Kelowna Jr. Rockets Invitational Hockey Tournament.

Tage Kineshanko jumpstarted the Lumby scoring as he buried a hard slap shot past the goalie and heavy traffic created by Matthew Yaremcio. The assist went to Domenik Porteous.

Just eight seconds later, Yaremcio made it 2-0 on a solo effort. North Shore scored first in the second period before Kineshanko clicked with a slapper on the power play after a series of incredible passes. Kineshanko produced his third goal, assisted by Quin Williamson.

Mason Robinson got on the scoresheet as he went coast to coast and finished on a beauty shot.

North Shore potted three goals in less than 90 seconds before Yaremcio added his second of the game from Linden Catt and Liam Macleod.

Kineshanko recorded his fourth of the game to finish the offence.

Tournament MVP awards of the weekend went to Conner Seehaver, Tye Krause, goalie Eric Foufoulas and Kineshanko

The Stars opened the invitational by losing 4-0 to the Rockets.

Lumby lost a 9-7 thriller to Kamloops Saturday morning with Kineshanko (2), Robinson (2), Catt, Noah Clarke and Krause handling the attack in front of Parker Stanyk.

The Stars lost 7-2 to North Okanagan Knights with Robinson and Williamson scoring.
