Mike Siemens, Dave Gould and Rob Ross each scored twice for the Stars, while Bob Oldfield added a single.

The 13-4-2 Stars had several more chances and could have been in double digits if not for the stellar play of the Summerland keeper.

In other Thursday night action, Penticton FC clipped Vernon Kal Tire 2-1 at Constable Neil Bruce Field in West Kelowna.

Slick Vlad Zamecnik scored once in each half on 25-yard free kicks which beat Kal Tire keeper Felix Heinrichs, who made a dozen big-time saves.

Jenne Huberts took a short pass from Kevin Mitchell at centre after Penticton went up 2-0 and fooled the Penticton keeper with a high 50-yarder.

Kal Tire defender Rich Zecchel marked Penticton super striker Tony Munoz tight all game to earn the Dairy Queen Man of the Match. The Tiremen dipped to 7-9-3.
