The Silver Stars brushed back Vernon Kal Tire 3-1 in Okanagan 55 Men’s Soccer League play Thursday night at MacDonald Park.
Uwe Wolters, Mahmoud Abdelkader and Kerry Zubot scored for the 13-5 Stars, while Rob Hulstein nodded in a Gary Dill cross for Kal Tire (8-8-2).
Nigel Clack, who fed Abdelkader for an easy tap-in, ruled the midfield for the Stars. Zubot buried his own rebound after a solid save by Yogi Kongsdorf in the final minutes. Kongsdorf stoned Steve Coombs on an earlier breakaway.
